Proposed Title: Keeping the Fire Lit: A 2026 Check-In
We are 13 days into 2026.
How are you feeling about the new year? Are you still hitting your goals? Are you on track? Do you still feel that fire burning inside you to do better, to be better?
If that flame feels like it’s flickering, you aren't alone. At Larson's Land, we are focused right now on adding wood to our fire to keep it going. Because, literally and figuratively, when you are trying to accomplish big things in life, the initial spark isn't enough. You have to keep throwing logs on the flames.
I want to share a few of the "logs" we are using to fuel our fire today.
The Spark: Our "Why"
In 2026, Nicole and I have a singular mission: to grow Larson's legacy. He is so much of our life, but to be blunt, it is tough to go through life as the world changes while Larson remains forever our 3-year-old.
We realized that attaching his legacy to Larson's Land is a way for him to continue to grow, even if he isn't physically here. This is our WHY. This is the spark that started it all.
Striking the Match
Two weeks ago, we officially launched Larson's Land Coffee. We introduced our home-roasted coffee, supplier beans, tea, and the clothes that carry his logo.
It took a lot of work—physically and emotionally—just to get to the starting line. But just like building a campfire, you have to gather the wood, stack the kindling, and strike the match before you get any heat.
We are currently in that phase where we are tweaking the logs to make sure the coals get hot. We know our coffee is good. We know our mission fuels our drive. But we are learning every day how to spread the word to keep Larson's Legacy alive.
The "Lighter Fluid" vs. The Coals
Over the first two weeks, we had a great start. That support was the "lighter fluid"—a burst of energy and excitement. But lighter fluid burns off fast. Now, we have to tend to the fire to make sure it truly catches.
For us, "tending the fire" means focusing on quality. It means continuing to roast the Brazil Oberon and the Mexican La Laja Honey. These aren't just beans; they are the fuel that keeps this business running. We’ve also been pouring our hearts into designing new t-shirts, hats, and sweaters that we are proud to wear.
Check out the "Fuel" we've created:
The Crackling: A Bonfire for Everyone
As we approach this next stage, we will see if the fire is truly being lit by natural heat and energy. We are going to keep moving forward to grow Larson's Land, but we don't want this to be a small campfire just for us.
We want Larson's Land to be a bonfire for us all.
Let's gather around. Let’s make 2026 a year where we circle up to share laughs over success stories, find motivation to keep moving forward, and yes—share cries as we look inward and see how we can change.
Together, we can all be better. Grab a cup, pull up a chair, and let's keep the fire burning.
